SoSH Blog: Campagnolo Restaurant Atlanta

Campagnolo Restaurant Atlanta: As you already know if you ever get a chance to read this, we are always super excited when something  knew opens, moves, or happens in our neighborhood.  We are especially excited when it is a new food spot that looks promising.  We are even more interested when the restaurant is cute and “trendy” but also offers great food.  Campagnolo restaurant Atlanta, which is now open at 980 Piedmont Avenue, is all of these things and, we think, a great addition to the Midtown lineup.

If you are familiar with the location you know that it has been home to a host of restaurants that have occupied the space and remained in business for varying amounts of time.  The closing of previous establishments in that location can be blamed on a number of things from the location being on One Way Only Piedmont, limited parking, food offerings, or a fickle Atlanta audience.  All of these are valid points and shouldn’t be taken lightly, but it seems that Campagnolo is approaching the situation smartly and will hopefully be in business for quite a while.

Firstly, the owners of the restaurant did a fantastic job opening up the restaurant to the street and allowing for a pleasant sitting area where people can see and be seen along one of the busiest and most interesting stretches of Piedmont. The patio is inviting and tastefully done.

Inside the space has been refreshed and the seating area extended all the way to the rear of the large space incorporating much useable space that has been underutilized.  The décor is contemporary and nicely done.  I am unsure on the designer, but the contractor used was Cablik Enterprises who do a great job around town with many contemporary/modern homes and businesses.  I actually went to Georgia Tech with Alan Cablik so it is great to see someone I know do well and do great work!!

We went to Campagnolo for brunch this past Sunday and I was very pleased with the menu, presentation and taste of the food offered.  I had a frittata and sampled the French Toast, both were excellent!!  The wait staff was very nice and attentive and the manager and host were kind and accommodating.  It’s nice to be welcomed and appreciated at an eating establishment or business in general; customer service is so often overlooked these days and it’s something that is a must for me to return for a second time.

Return we shall as we really enjoyed our experience, the décor, the food, and the staff of Campagnolo.  We are hopeful that with this combo this restaurant will last in this space; it’s a great addition to the Midtown lineup for sure!!

Once again we always encourage you to Get Out and Be Sosh!!
